Over these months, working with Miguel has decisively accelerated my development as a director despite my young age (29). His guidance has equipped me with concrete team-management tools — such as Metaplan for aligning responsibilities and the creation of process and business KPIs — which allow me to lead with greater clarity and confidence. The focus on coherence between verbal and non-verbal communication (“being and appearing”) has reduced noise within the staff and strengthened alliances built on clear expectations and direct feedback.
A second major learning has been personal efficiency: planning the day the night before, reserving “quality time” for thinking, limiting interruptions, and delegating systematically to my team. Thanks to these habits, I have gone from doing everything myself to supervising measurable objectives (“what isn’t measured doesn’t grow”), freeing time for higher-value tasks and enhancing my strategic abilities. The result is a more agile department.
Finally, much of what I learned has gone beyond the professional sphere. The “Self-Family-Work” pyramid, along with caring for sleep, nutrition, and exercise, has taught me to manage my energy with the same discipline as my time. I’ve applied powerful questioning, planning, and measurable results to my personal life, achieving greater peace of mind and sustained growth. Overall, the sessions have strengthened my skills, reinforced my leadership, and improved my overall wellbeing.

What I have valued most from the sessions with Miguel is his clear focus on professional growth. He made me realise that what isn’t measured doesn’t grow, which helped me internalise the importance of KPIs from a more objective and strategic perspective. This data-driven approach not only provides a more accurate view of reality, but also helps identify opportunities for improvement and process efficiency.
I also learned that it’s not always necessary, nor efficient, to provide or seek an immediate answer. Although it may seem like the simplest option, what is truly valuable is asking the right questions and maintaining a curious mindset. As Miguel often says, it’s better to teach someone how to fish than to give them the fish, and for me, this has been one of the most important lessons from the sessions, especially when applying it in my work with the team.
The sessions have also given me very useful tools to better manage the team, such as communicating clearly and making decisions with greater confidence. All of this has helped me handle day-to-day work with the team in a more practical and motivating way.
